Open Doors is an international ministry serving persecuted Christians and churches worldwide. They supply Bibles, leadership training, literacy programmes, livelihood support and advocacy services. They also seek to mobilise the church in the UK & Ireland to serve Christians living under religious persecution.

Open Doors dream of a world in which every Christian who is persecuted is remembered and supported by other Christians.

Scripture reminds us that the early church was a persecuted church:

“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”
Heb 13:3

“If one part [of the body] suffers, every part suffers with it.”
1 Corinthians 12:26

And now, every year thousands of Christians are killed for their faith, and millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ continue to face attack and discrimination every day.

At CPC we support Open Doors monetarily (as a church and individually) and some individuals have engaged as couriers to restricted countries, taking Bibles and encouragement to persecuted brothers and sisters.

Having travelling with Open Doors to Cuba and China, Alastair McGregor is Open Doors’ CPC representative and acts as a speaker on their behalf:

“Travelling with Open Doors was a humbling, encouraging and eye-opening experience. What a privilege and challenge it was to spend time with those who suffer for their faith. Open Doors was founded on God’s call to one man who was, and is, faithful to that calling and I believe it continues to be a charity worthy of our support”
